Neff argued the group was not “booking a guest” but simply offering Owens a chance to respond to accusations against her. Owens countered by saying TPUSA changed the conditions after she agreed, demanding she appear in person in Phoenix at a time that clashed with her own podcast. She maintains she was misled about both timing and format.She later announced that if TPUSA insisted on speaking during her regular streaming slot, she would not back down, writing, “It has been decided by the public that the best response for this is for my team to livestream your livestream and provide commentary.” Owens insisted she had never refused to speak, only refused to play by new rules imposed without discussion.Then came the statement that shocked many: Owens accused Erika Kirk of directing TPUSA to set up the livestream and push the confrontation forward.
