Prime Minister Narendra Modi received applause from his ministers during a Union Cabinet meeting on Wednesday for the NDA’s historic win in the Bihar assembly polls.
The Cabinet congratulated the Prime Minister, with ministers thumping their desks in appreciation.
Prime Minister Modi spoke in the cabinet and said, “Unity is our strength and the NDA alliance is organic.”
“It is not an alliance only for elections. It is a natural alliance,” he added.

In Bihar, the NDA registered a landslide victory, winning over 200 seats in the 243-member assembly. The massive scale of the victory of the NDA can be gauged from the fact that its two main constituents–BJP and JD(U) — clocked a nearly 85 per cent strike rate in 101 seats each they had contested.
On the other hand, the Mahagathbandhan was decimated to 35 seats. This includes RJD, which won 25 seats, and the Congress with six seats, together with two of CPI-ML, one of CPI-M and one of the Indian Inclusive Party (IIP).
