Jr NTR fans stage a protest against TDP MLA for his alleged remarks on the actor
According to IANS, an audio clip of the MLA has been circulating online that sparked protests against him. Fans of the actor raised slogans and even tore down the flex hoardings of the MLA. Reportedly, a person stated that TDP wouldn’t have existed without Nandamuri fans. Cops have been stationed outside the MLA’s residence and the office.As per the report, Prasad allegedly used foul language against the actor in the clip. According to BollywoodLife, he said, “It doesn’t matter. War 2 will not be released; it won’t run, it won’t run. I am the MLA here.”
MLA issues a statement
In a video statement, the MLA said that the audio clip wasn’t his and it is part of a political conspiracy against him. He also added that though it was not his voice, if Jr NTR fans are hurt, he apologizes to them. He said, “From the beginning, I have been an admirer of the Nandamuri family. I have always loved watching Balakrishna and NTR’s movies. But now, fake audio calls have been created as if I abused Jr NTR. That call is fake; there is no truth in it.“
History
According to the report, a section of TDP supporters were upset with Jr NTR’s remark which he made at the pre-release event of ‘War 2.’ The actor said that since he has the blessings of his grandfather Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, no one can do anything to him. For the unversed, Jr NTR is the grandson of popular actor and former Chief Minister NTR, who founded TDP in 1982. Later, NTR’s son-in-law, N. Chandrababu Naidu, took over the reins of the party and the government after leading a revolt against NTR in 1995.
