Election Results 2025 Kerala Local Body Polls Live Updates: The results of the key 2025 local body polls in Kerala are set to be declared today, December 13. As per the official schedule, the counting of votes will begin at 8 am at 244 centres and 14 district collectorates. All eyes are on the local body election results as it will show the public’s inclination for the upcoming Assembly election in 2026. Elections were held for 6 corporations, 14 district panchayats, 87 municipalities, 152 block panchayats, and 941 grama panchayats.

On Thursday, State Election Commissioner A Shahjahan announced that this year’s local body elections in Kerala recorded the highest turnout since the first civic elections were held in 1995.

Conducted in two phases, the local body polls saw a turnout of 76.08 per cent in the second phase, according to figures released by the SEC around 9:30 pm on Thursday. The first phase of polling, which concluded on December 9, had a turnout of 70.91 per cent, resulting in an overall turnout of 73.69 per cent for the elections.
