LA airport catering staff protest near LAX; traffic slows down — watch

A group of airline catering workers held a protest near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Tuesday. They picketed along Century Boulevard and outside the airport’s pickup and drop-off points. Union leaders said the protest was part of their push to “hold Flying Food Group accountable,” reported Fox 11. They accused the company of making catering staff work in unsafe conditions. Workers also claimed the company had earlier been cited for safety and minimum wage violations. The demonstration briefly slowed movement in and out of the airport. Police reached the spot shortly after 6.15 pm and cleared the road.
