UP CM Yogi Slams Parties ‘Insulting Babasaheb’s Legacy’, Announces Security For Ambedkar Statues

He cited a 1923 incident when a senior Congress leader, then Congress President, refused to sing “Vande Mataram” and wished to die in Jerusalem, emphasizing Ambedkar’s message. Yogi criticized parties promoting appeasement, saying they harm India and insult Ambedkar’s legacy. Under PM Modi’s leadership, he said, India now takes pride in honoring its great leaders. Announcing a new initiative, Yogi stated that the Uttar Pradesh government will protect Ambedkar statues by constructing boundary walls and adding canopies where needed, ensuring their safety and respectful preservation across the state.
