Chinese-born Justin Sun, a crypto billionaire, who feared arrest in the US for years and stayed away from the country, was in Washington Thursday to attend President Donald Trump’s gala dinner as a VIP guest.Sun’s presence triggered a major backlash as Democrats called the dinner an ‘orgy of the corrupts’. The Justice Department was investigating Sun and his company Tron for financial crime. While it’s not known whether he is still under investigation, Sun revealed Thursday that he is the largest holder of the president’s $TRUMP memecoin.NYT described Sun walking with an assistant holding an umbrella over his head as he was one of the first guests to arrive at the dinner.
