Mass shooting in US: Several law enforcement officials shot in southern Virginia; what we know so far

Several law enforcement personnel have been shot in a shooting incident in southern Virginia, according to a congressional representative, quoted by AP.Representative John McGuire of Virginia’s 5th congressional district expressed his support via X, stating his thoughts and prayers for the injured deputies in Pittsylvania County and their families on Wednesday. “We are closely following the situation and keeping everyone affected in our hearts during this difficult time,” McGuire wrote.Pittsylvania County is situated on Virginia’s southern boundary with North Carolina, approximately 158 km to the northwest of Raleigh, North Carolina.
