New Delhi: Metro Brands Ltd has launched FILA’s first-ever new-concept store in India at Mall of Asia, Bengaluru, as it looks to deepen the brand’s presence in the country’s growing premium sneaker and athleisure market, it said in a media release on Thursday.

Spread across about 1,000 sq ft on the mall’s ground floor, the store introduces a globally aligned, design-led retail format inspired by FILA’s Italian heritage and contemporary sport style. The new concept aims to position FILA as a lifestyle brand spanning performance wear, streetwear and athleisure, moving beyond a traditional footwear-led store format.

A key feature of the store is a central ‘Library Wall’ showcasing limited-edition collections and new launches, reflecting the brand’s focus on premiumisation and curated storytelling at the point of sale.

Commenting on the launch, Alisha Rafique Malik, President, Metro Brands Limited, said the new format is aimed at creating a stronger connection with today’s consumer through design and sharper product curation.

The launch underscores Metro Brands’ strategy of introducing globally benchmarked retail formats in high-footfall, premium destinations as demand for sport and athleisure footwear continues to grow in urban India.
