New Delhi: Global sportswear brand New Balance has appointed actor Janhvi Kapoor as its first brand ambassador in India, as the company looks to deepen its presence in one of its fastest-growing markets.
The partnership marks a key step in New Balance’s India strategy, where the brand aims to build stronger connections at the intersection of fashion, fitness and youth culture.
Kapoor said she resonated with the brand’s focus on individuality and self-expression. “I’ve always admired New Balance for its dedication to innovation and celebrating individuality,” she said, adding that fashion and fitness for her are about staying true to oneself.
Radeshwer Davar, Country Manager, India at New Balance, said the collaboration is rooted in shared values. “Our sponsorships are always co-authored—rooted in shared vision and mutual creativity,” he said, adding that Kapoor’s passion, drive and individuality align with the brand’s ethos.
Stuart Henwood, Senior Director, New Balance for the Middle East, Africa and India (MEAI), said India is among the brand’s fast-growing markets in the region. He added that Kapoor will play a key role in strengthening New Balance’s connection with consumers across India and the wider MEAI region.
New Balance said the association aims to build a more inclusive and confident culture around sport and fashion, reflecting the aspirations of modern India.
Headquartered in Boston, New Balance reported global revenues of $7.8 billion in 2024 and operates manufacturing facilities in the US and the UK.>
