New Delhi: UK-based fashion retailer NEXT has opened its first exclusive brand outlet (EBO) in India at Pavilion Mall in Pune, as part of its partnership with Myntra Jabong India (MJIPL), the B2B wholesale entity of Myntra, the company said in a press release on Friday.

Under the arrangement, MJIPL holds licensed rights to distribute NEXT’s products in India and to grant rights to franchisee partners for opening and operating stores.

NEXT plans to scale its presence through both exclusive stores and shop-in-shop formats at large-format retailers, including Shoppers Stop, where it already operates 10 such shop-in-shops. The brand is targeting over 50 points of sale across the country by 2030, with upcoming stores planned in Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

Speaking on the launch, Venu Nair, chief of strategic partnerships and omni-channel, Myntra, said, “Renowned for unparalleled designs and quality, across women’s, men’s and children’s wear, the brand has been instrumental in addressing consumer gaps within the fashion market across various categories. Specifically in children’s wear, the premium children’s fashion market is currently underserved, offering limited options for fashion-conscious parents.”

“The opening of our first NEXT store in Pune is a pivotal moment in our partnership with Myntra,” a spokesperson for NEXT said. “We are incredibly excited to bring the NEXT retail experience to our Indian customers, offering them direct access to our latest collections.”

NEXT has been present on the Myntra platform since 2023 and has reported steady growth in demand from Indian consumers.
