Popular Twitch streamer Nina Lin has apologized after an old livestream from May 2024 went viral again and caused strong backlash online. In the video, Nina and another streamer, Zoe Spencer, were seen holding down FaZe Silky’s assistant Said and twerking on him while he looked visibly uncomfortable. People watching the stream at that time could be heard saying it did not look okay, and that Said was not consenting. Viewers say Said even tried to escape and went upstairs to hide, but he was brought back on camera.

After that original stream in 2024, Said wrote on social media that he felt assaulted, but he later deleted the post. The video resurfaced again this week on X and TikTok, and people are now demanding answers. Many viewers say that if a male streamer had done this to a woman, he would have been banned instantly.Nina Lin posted an apology video after Said spoke up again in a now-deleted X post, where he said nobody cared when he talked about it before. Nina Lin said she “genuinely, 100 percent thought it was a joke” when it happened live and believed Said was laughing with them. But after watching the clip again, she said it is clear she was wrong.“What we did was wrong,” Nina said. “He clearly was uncomfortable with it. He was very hurt by it.” She also said she understands why people are angry now and that she never meant to make anyone feel unsafe. Viewers are asking why she waited until the clip went viral again to apologize, instead of supporting Said when he first spoke up last year.
