A portion of the Gambhira Bridge over the Mahisagar River in Vadodara, Gujarat, collapsed on July 9 morning, resulting in at least nine deaths and six injuries. A truck, van, and car fell into the river when the bridge gave way on the Padra-Mujpur stretch, a key route connecting Central Gujarat to Saurashtra. Rescue operations are ongoing, with 10 people already pulled from the water. Local authorities from Vadodara and Anand districts are leading the efforts.
