Nicole Kidman is now the latest Hollywood star who is considering moving out of the United States, however, it is not due to political reasons, but rather, personal ones.
According to reports, the Oscar-winner and her husband, country singer Keith Urban, are considering relocating from the United States to their native Australia following what has been described as their “worst year ever.”
The year has been particularly challenging for the couple, with Nicole, grieving the loss of her mother, Janelle, who passed away at 84 in September. The news of the sudden loss came just before the actress received the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival for her role in ‘Babygirl‘.Sources close to the couple told Woman’s Day that Nicole’s demanding schedule has also added to her emotional struggles. Over the past year, she has been jetting across the United States for various commitments related to her films like ‘Babygirl’ and web series, including the upcoming crime series ‘Scarpetta’, among other projects. Her packed schedule has reportedly sparked concerns among loved ones about the possibility of ‘burnout’.
The report further states that the actress has also spent very little time with her husband over the past year, owing to packed schedules. “The big worry on everyone’s minds is how much more of this she can take.”
Keith, also 57, is said to be considering stepping back from his music career to support Nicole. Following his 10-date Las Vegas residency, which wraps in February, the country singer may reduce his touring commitments to prioritise family time.
The report suggests that the family’s move back to Australia would allow Nicole to reconnect with her roots and find solace amid her grief while reducing the pressures of her Hollywood commitments.
Over the past weeks, Hollywood stars like Ellen DeGeneres and Eva Longoria were in the news following their decision to leave the US ahead of Donald Trump‘s presidency.
