New Delhi: Global luxury streetwear label Off-White has entered India market with a flagship store in Bengaluru, in partnership with Brand Concepts which will hold exclusive rights to distribute and retail the brand in the country.
The Bengaluru store will mark the beginning of a wider retail rollout, with Brand Concepts planning to open five flagship stores across major cities over the next three years, including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
Founded by the late designer Virgil Abloh, Off-White has built global recognition for blending luxury fashion with streetwear culture and drawing strong influence from music, art and contemporary design.
Executives at Brand Concepts said the partnership came after nearly a year of discussions with the brand. “They had options of going with much larger houses, but our pitch was that with us the brand would get singular focus and passion,” said Abhinav Kumar, co-founder of Brand Concepts.
The company believes India’s luxury market and the rise of streetwear culture among younger consumers create a strong opportunity for Off-White. “Luxury in India has been growing rapidly and the streetwear culture has taken off, from sneakers to homegrown brands. Off-White sits right at that intersection,” Kumar said.
The India strategy will be led through flagship stores alongside partnerships with luxury multi-brand retailers such as The Collective and Galeries Lafayette. The brand will also launch an India-dedicated website and is exploring distribution through online e-commerce platforms.
Products will be imported from the brand’s international collections. Pricing will remain in the luxury segment, with T-shirts starting around Rs 25,000 and jackets priced up to Rs 2.5 lakh. Average bill values are expected to be around Rs 45,000 – 50,000.
Brand Concepts said it has earmarked around $3–5 million over the next three years to build the brand’s presence in India, excluding merchandise procurement. Including inventory, the total investment is expected to exceed $10 million over the next three to five years.
