The makers of ‘O’Romeo’ unveiled a vibrant new track, Aashiqon Ki Colony, featuring Disha Patani and Shahid Kapoor’s electrifying dance chemistry. Composed and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj with lyrics by Gulzar, the song follows ‘Hum Toh Tere Hi Liye The’. ‘O’Romeo’ hits theatres on February 13, marking Bhardwaj’s cinematic comeback.

On Tuesday, the makers of ‘O’Romeo’ unveiled a new track from the film titled ‘Aashiqon Ki Colony’. The peppy dance number stars Disha Patani and Shahid Kapoor. Composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, who also directs the film, the song is sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Javed Ali, with lyrics written by Bhardwaj’s longtime collaborator, Gulzar.

‘O’Romeo’ song highlights electric dance chemistry

Set to an energetic beat, ‘Aashiqon Ki Colony’ highlights Patani’s captivating screen presence, while Kapoor complements her with his effortless dance moves, together delivering a lively and visually striking performance.

‘O’Romeo’ releases second track after ‘Hum Toh Tere Hi Liye The’

It is the second song release, following the earlier romantic track ‘Hum Toh Tere Hi Liye The’. Sung by Arijit Singh, the first song featured Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, with Gulzar penning the lyrics and Vishal Bhardwaj composing the music. The song highlighted Kapoor and Dimri’s effortless on-screen chemistry, portraying the sweet and delicate moments of their characters as they begin to fall in love.

‘O’Romeo’ rumored to be inspired by real-life events

Interestingly, one of the most talked-about aspects of ‘O’Romeo’ is its rumored inspiration. Although the trailer released last week doesn’t directly confirm it, reports suggest the film is based on the life of gangster Hussain Ustara, a character from Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. This link hints that the film could weave in elements of real-life crime stories, bringing an added sense of intrigue for fans of Zaidi’s narrative style.

‘O’Romeo’ marks Vishal Bhardwaj’s big-screen comeback

Vishal Bhardwaj, known for cinematic gems like ‘Maqbool’ and ‘Omkara’ in the early 2000s, has also delivered critically acclaimed films such as ‘Kaminey’, ‘Haider’, and ‘7 Khoon Maaf’. Post his 2018 film ‘Pataakha’, the filmmaker explored the digital space with ‘Khufiya’ on Netflix and the SonyLIV series ‘Charlie Chopra & the Mystery of Solang Valley’. With ‘O’Romeo’, Bhardwaj makes a grand comeback to theatres after a long break.

‘O’Romeo’ set for Valentine’s Day theatrical release

‘O’Romeo’ is set to hit theatres on February 13, strategically timed as a major Valentine’s Day release. The film boasts an ensemble cast that includes Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Vikrant Massey, and Tamannaah Bhatia, among others.
