At least two power outages were reported during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow in Patna on Sunday evening.

The Prime Minister is holding a 1.6 km long roadshow from Dinkar Golambar to Udyog Bhawan near Gandhi Maidan as part of the poll campaign for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

The lights went off twice at the end point of the roadshow before PM Modi’s arrival. The officials quickly managed the situation, ensuring there was no disruption to the convoy’s movement and public safety as large crowds gathered to witness the Prime Minister’s roadshow.

The roadshow continued as planned, with PM Modi greeting enthusiastic supporters as they cheered and chanted his name. Videos shared on social media platforms showed women peering out from their balconies and offering ‘aarti’ as PM Modi passes by during the roadshow.

Following the event, the Prime Minister is set to visit the historic Gurudwara Shri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib.

Meanwhile, authorities imposed sweeping traffic restrictions across central Patna from 2 pm to 7 pm, with several key routes—including Dinkar Golambar, Nala Road, Bari Path, Thakurbari Road, Bakarganj, and Gandhi Maidan—closed to the public, for the roadshow.

Only emergency and essential vehicles—such as ambulances, fire brigades, patient transport, hearses, judicial, election, and those with special passes have been permitted.

Earlier today, PM Modi held two rallies in Arrah and Nwada and took a swipe at the Congress, clubbing the party with Pakistan and saying the two have not yet recovered from ‘Operation Sindoor’.

Calling the Gandhis the “royal family” of the Congress, while campaigning for the Bihar assembly elections in Arrah, Modi said: “…When blasts were happening in Pakistan, the Congress ‘royal family’ lost their sleep. To date, both Pakistan and Congress namdaars haven’t recovered from Operation Sindoor.”

The 243-member Bihar assembly will go to polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with results set to be announced on November 14.
