Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday flagged off India’s first Namo Bharat RRTS in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and attacked the opposition, saying projects under the BJP do not face delays and that earlier governments were involved in scams.

He inaugurated the entire Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor and the Meerut Metro (Meerut South-Modipuram), dedicating projects worth around Rs 12,930 crores to the nation.

‘Viksit UP, Viksit Bharat’

Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister said, “Viksit UP, Viksit Bharat is gaining momentum.”

He said the inauguration reflects the double engine commitment of the BJP. He added that projects undertaken during their tenure do not get delayed like they used to earlier.

He said the BJP is focused on working for the benefit of the people and passengers. He claimed that under Congress and SP, such development was not possible and that those parties were indulged in scams.

Benefits for Meerut and connectivity

The Prime Minister said the project will benefit the people of Meerut and that the new connectivity will make it easier for people to travel to Delhi.

He said his government has taken the metro network to up to 25 cities.

The Prime Minister said he spoke with students and other passengers during the visit and that they were amazed to witness the development.

He also said that law and order has become better.

Focus on women and development

The Prime Minister said the Namo Metro Rail project will benefit nari shakti, as key positions will be given to women.

Hitting out at the opposition, he said, “Let’s fight on development.” He added that for his government, the nation’s development has always been the only priority.

Narendra Modi said the world is looking towards India with huge respect and that developed nations are now eager to associate with the country for development.

He said there was a time when Congress could not build associations with developed nations, but today countries want to work with India. He added that the government’s deals will benefit small industries.

PM on AI Summit

The Prime Minister said India conducted the world’s biggest AI Summit, with representatives from different parts of the world gathering for the event. He said the summit was organised for the development of the nation.

He added that the AI Summit belonged to the nation and was not a BJP event.

Attack on Congress

The Prime Minister alleged that Congress and its ecosystem stooped low with “gandi and nangi politics” to destroy India’s image. He said, “The whole nation knows ‘Cong pehle se nangi hai’.”

He claimed that Congress leaders hate him and abuse his mother and the NDA. He said Congress has humiliated the nation.

He also said the media should not defend Congress in the name of opposition.

The Prime Minister added that it is only Congress and its “sarfere neta” who are destroying the nation. He said that if someone wants to become Prime Minister, they must work hard on the ground.

He further said, “Congress desh ke liye bojh ban gayi hai.”
