As Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings prepare to face off in the IPL 2025 final, the contest has drawn the attention and support of top political leaders from both states.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann extended his wishes to the Punjab Kings, saying, “I would like to say good luck to the Punjab Kings team.” His message came as fans across Punjab rallied behind their side, hoping for the team’s first IPL title.

On the other side, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar took to social media and addressed reporters to express his support for RCB. “I am happy. Bengaluru boys RCB will win in Ahmedabad.

After a very long time, they have come to the finals. The government of Karnataka and the people of Karnataka are waiting for their victory,” he said, noting the strong fan turnout expected at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
In a tweet posted earlier, Shivakumar also wrote: “Ee Sala Cup Namde! 18 years of grit. Every prayer, every cheer, every heartbreak – it all leads to today. This is more than a match. Our moment. Our cup. Wishing @RCBTweets the very best – Karnataka is with you!”
