Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality, through its Animal Wealth Department, has held discussions with a delegation of veterinary experts from Belarus to explore cooperation in the development of veterinary vaccines and medicines. The talks focused on enhancing bilateral collaboration to prevent epidemic animal diseases, with both sides committed to building scientific and technical exchange frameworks that can support regional and national animal health initiatives.

Focus on Localisation and Innovation

The meeting placed special emphasis on the exchange of expertise and modern technologies used in vaccine manufacturing. Qatar is aiming to localise veterinary pharmaceutical production, which would support national biosecurity and reduce reliance on imports.

Building Strategic Veterinary Partnerships

Both Qatar and Belarus highlighted the importance of a sustainable strategic partnership that strengthens veterinary research, development, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. This collaboration is seen as a key step toward enhancing national capabilities in the fields of animal health and epidemic disease control.
