Kejriwal further congratulated the BJP leader and asked him for his vision for the national capital. He also invited the saffron party’s CM candidate to have an open debate on the development issues once the BJP officially announces the decision.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday reiterated the claim that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to project its leader Ramesh Bidhuri as the party’s chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Delhi assembly polls.
Kejriwal further congratulated the BJP leader and asked him for his vision for the national capital. He also invited the saffron party’s CM candidate to have an open debate on the development issues once the BJP officially announces the decision.
“We are getting information that Ramesh Bidhuri’s name will be officially announced (as BJP CM face) in the coming one or two days. I congratulate Ramesh Bidhuri on becoming the CM face of BJP. Ramesh Bidhuri should tell what he did for the development of Delhi while being an MP. What is his vision for Delhi?” Kejriwal said while addressing the press conference.

“After the official announcement of his name, there should be a debate between the CM candidates of BJP and AAP in front of the people of Delhi…” he added.
Amit Shah Attacks Kejriwal
Union Home Minister Amit Shah traded barbs at the AAP leader saying that the people of Delhi know and understand such tactics of making false claims.
While addressing “Jhuggi Basti Pradhan Sammelan” at Delhi’s JLN Stadium today, Shah said, “Today he (Kejriwal) has announced BJP CM candidate….Kejriwal ji whole Delhi understands these tactics of yours.”
He further took a dig at AAP saying that Kejriwal is not only ‘Aapda‘ for Delhiites but also for his own party. Shah said that Kejriwal has all the demerits of a bad politician and he is the number one corrupt leader in our country.
“5th of February is the day when you will get relief from ‘AAP-da’. The people who launched an agitation against corruption broke all records of corruption…AAP has become an ‘AAP-da’ for Delhi but Arvind Kejriwal has become an ‘AAP-da’ for AAP,” the Home Minister said.

Atishi Claims Bidhuri To Be BJP’s CM Face
Earlier on Friday, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi had claimed that her Kalkaji rival Ramesh Bidhuri will be the BJP’s CM pick. She said that this was Bidhuri’s “reward” for being the “most abusive” leader of his party.
“Reliable sources have revealed that it has been decided in the CEC meeting of the ‘Gaali Galouch Party’ this morning that the most abusive leader – Ramesh Bidhuri ji – will be made the CM face. The Parliamentary Committee meeting this evening will seal this decision. Now, Delhiites have two options – on one side is the educated, hardworking leader Arvind Kejriwal, and on the other side is the abusive Ramesh Bidhuri…” she had said in a post on X.
Atishi is seeking re-election from the Kalkaji seat in the Delhi assembly polls and is pitted against BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress’s Alka Lamba.
AAP leaders have dubbed the BJP as “Gali Galauj” (abusive) Party due to its sustained attacks on them by the saffron party leaders, ahead of the assembly elections.
Ramesh Bidhuri’s Recent Controversies
The BJP MP was recently embroiled in controversy over his remarks against Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and the Delhi CM Atishi.
While addressing a gathering during the campaigning, he said that Atishi “changed her father” by changing her surname from “Marlena” to “Singh”.
Earlier, he courted another controversy claiming that if the BJP is voted to power in Delhi assembly, it will build smooth roads “like Priyanka Gandhi’s cheeks” in the constituency.
