The public feud between Elon Musk and Donald Trump intensified further after the Tesla company owner made a striking allegation against the US president. In a post on his own platform X, Musk wrote, “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”“Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out,” he further added.Jeffrey Epstein was a financier who amassed significant wealth, allegedly by managing money for billionaires, though much about his financial dealings remained shrouded in secrecy. Over the years, he cultivated relationships with a host of influential figures, including former US Presidents, British royalty, and prominent Hollywood personalities. His downfall began in 2008, when he pleaded guilty in Florida to charges of soliciting prostitution from a minor. He served just 13 months in jail under a controversial work-release programme- an outcome widely criticised as lenient given the severity of the allegations against him.Jeffrey Epstein was a wealthy financier whose sources of income remained largely opaque. He surrounded himself with powerful figures, including former US Presidents, British royalty, and Hollywood elites. His criminal record began in 2008 with a guilty plea in Florida to child prostitution charges, resulting in a widely criticised 13-month sentence under a work-release deal. In 2019, he was arrested again on federal sex trafficking charges, accused of running a network that exploited underage girls.Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands, often called “Pedophile Island,” was allegedly central to his abuse operation. He died in a New York jail cell in August 2019, with his death ruled a suicide. However, the circumstances have fueled ongoing conspiracy theories suggesting he was silenced to protect high-profile individuals linked to his crimes. Also read: ‘Without me, Trump would have lost election,’ says Elon MuskFeud between Musk and TrumpUS President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, once political allies, are now embroiled in a public feud sparked by disagreements over the government’s new tax bill. Musk sharply criticised the legislation, calling it “a disgusting abomination” and urging Americans to “kill the bill.” In response, Trump expressed his disappointment, claiming he had cut Musk out of key EV policy decisions and stripped him of influence in Washington. The clash escalated online, with Trump hitting back at Musk voicing his “disappointment” and later writing on Truth Social that he had revoked Musk’s EV mandates asked him to leave following which “he went crazy” and suggested cutting off his federal subsidies and contracts. Musk fired back on X, calling Trump’s statements “an obvious lie” and mocking the threat to his government funding. In a separate post, he asserted that Trump’s 2024 election win would not have been possible without his support—highlighting the deepening rift between two figures who had recently appeared to mend ties.
