This launch is a major step in Saudi Arabia’s push to expand tourism and entertainment under its national development plans.

The grand opening of Qiddiya City

The highly anticipated Six Flags Qiddiya City is officially set to open its doors on December 31, 2025, kicking off the new year with record-breaking thrills.Located just 40 minutes from Riyadh in the majestic Tuwaiq Mountains, the park serves as the inaugural entertainment destination within the massive Qiddiya City project. Qiddiya City is significant because it is the world’s first global destination built entirely upon the philosophy of the “Power of Play,” aiming to blend entertainment, sports, and culture in a vibrant, sustainable environment. This new attraction is a milestone for both Saudi Arabia and the global theme park industry, as it marks the first Six Flags park ever constructed outside of North America. Five world records under one roof

The park will feature a total of 28 rides and attractions, but its major draw lies in its portfolio of five unique, record-shattering thrill rides, designed for the most adventurous visitors. The absolute centerpiece is Falcons Flight, housed in the City of Thrills zone, which is set to claim three major world records:

  • Tallest Roller Coaster: It soars to an elevation of 195 meters (around 640 feet).
  • Fastest Roller Coaster: Riders will hit speeds of 250 km/h (155 mph).
  • Longest Roller Coaster: The track stretches for 4.25 kilometers (nearly 14,000 feet).

The ride’s design uses the natural cliffs of the Tuwaiq Mountains, featuring a dramatic 525-foot drop into a valley.
