In a significant diplomatic move, Saudi Arabia formalized the appointments of its new ambassadors to multiple friendly and brotherly nations. The ceremony, held at Al-Khaleej Palace in Dammam, highlighted the Kingdom’s continued commitment to strengthening international relations.

On Tuesday, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, administered the oath of office to the Kingdom’s newly appointed ambassadors. The event took place at Al-Khaleej Palace, Dammam, in the presence of Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony underscored the Kingdom’s dedication to maintaining and expanding its diplomatic ties across the globe.

The appointments

The newly sworn-in ambassadors will represent Saudi Arabia in a diverse group of countries across multiple continents. The full list of appointees is as follows:

  • Prince Saad bin Mansour – Qatar
  • Saleh Al-Shiha – Brunei Darussalam
  • Khalid Al-Shammari – Romania (also non-resident ambassador to Moldova)
  • Yousef Al-Balawi – Nigeria
  • Anas Al-Wusaidi – Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Saad Al-Maimouni – Burkina Faso
  • Turki bin Ibrahim – Albania
  • Saud Al-Musaed – Sierra Leone
  • Abdullah Al-Zahrani – Ethiopia
  • Khalid Al-Shamrani – Tajikistan
  • Mohammed Al-Ghamdi – Singapore
  • Mazid Al-Huwaishan – Myanmar
  • Fahd bin Mohammed – Nepal
  • Thamer Al-Qusaibi – Vietnam (also non-resident ambassador to Cambodia)
  • Shaher Al-Khunaini – The Netherlands

These appointments reflect the Kingdom’s strategy of strengthening bilateral relationships with both regional neighbors and distant nations, expanding its diplomatic presence and influence worldwide.

Significance of the oath taking

Administering the oath personally, the Crown Prince reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering global partnerships, diplomacy, and cooperation. Each ambassador now carries the responsibility of representing the Kingdom’s interests abroad, enhancing diplomatic dialogue, and supporting international collaboration.
