Scarlett Johansson’s ‘Jurassic World: Rebirth’ mints over Rs 94 crore despite Saiyaara wave
Jurassic World: Rebirth, starring Scarlett Johansson, is performing well in India. The film is close to earning Rs 100 crore. It opened with Rs 9.25 crore and grew over the first weekend. The movie did well in Hindi, English, and Tamil. Strong word of mouth helped it perform well in the second and third weeks. Localized versions boosted its reach.

Scarlett Johansson‘s Jurassic World: Rebirth is proving to be a resilient force at the Indian box office, surviving the onslaught of fresh Bollywood competition and edging closer to the coveted Rs 100 crore milestone. As of its third Tuesday, the sci-fi adventure has amassed a total of Rs 94.61 crore across all languages in India, and is all set to enter the Rs 100 crore club by the coming weekend and join Tom Cruise‘s Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning .The film opened on a modest note with Rs 9.25 crore on its first Friday but picked up steam over the weekend, collecting Rs 13.85 crore on Saturday and Rs 15.9 crore on Sunday, closing its opening weekend at Rs 39 crore. Despite being a Hollywood release, the film performed exceptionally well across multiple Indian languages — especially in English, Hindi, and Tamil — reflecting its strong pan-India reach.Weekdays held fairly well, with Monday and Tuesday clocking Rs 4.6 crore and Rs 4.8 crore respectively. By the end of its first week, Jurassic World: Rebirth had collected Rs 56.25 crore, with Hindi contributing Rs 21.1 crore and English Rs 26.1 crore, making it one of the top-performing non-superhero foreign releases in recent memory. The second weekend saw a sharp surge thanks to strong word of mouth, adding Rs 7.35 crore on Saturday and Rs 8.2 crore on Sunday, bringing in Rs 25.75 crore in its second week, despite stiff competition from Saiyaara directed by Mohit Suri starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda , a film that has become a sensation among Indian youth. By the end of two weeks, Jurassic World: Rebirth stood tall with Rs 82 crore in the bank. What truly stands out is the film’s third weekend performance, where it added another Rs 10.23 crore, a commendable number considering Saiyaara was dominating screens and audiences. On its third Monday, Rebirth earned Rs 1.1 crore, and on Tuesday, it managed Rs 1.28 crore, pushing the 19-day total to Rs 94.61 crore. The film’s success is being credited not only to Scarlett Johansson’s star power and the enduring appeal of the Jurassic franchise, but also to localized language versions, which helped it penetrate deep into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. The Hindi dubbed version alone has brought in over Rs 30 crore so far, making it the most preferred format after English. With more screens holding in week 4 and no major English-language competition on the horizon, Jurassic World: Rebirth may yet roar its way higher in the box office charts.
