A major terror attack averted in Europe after Austria’s domestic intelligence service uncovered a weapons cache in Vienna allegedly linked to Hamas. According to CNN and Austria’s Interior Ministry, investigators found five handguns and ten magazines inside a rented storage unit in the Austrian capital. Officials believe the cache was intended for “possible terrorist attacks in Europe”, targeting Israeli or Jewish institutions. The attack came after a 39-year-old British national was arrested in London on November 3 under German warrant in connection with the Vienna cache, following intelligence sharing between Austria, Germany, and the UK.
