Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said the BJP–Shiv Sena alliance’s strong performance in the Maharashtra municipal corporation elections reflected public trust in the development-oriented governance of the NDA under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a post on X, Shah said the sweeping victories in civic polls showed that people across the country had faith “only and only” in the NDA’s model of development led by Modi. Shah said the mandate was an endorsement of the development and public welfare initiatives undertaken in the state and expressed gratitude to the people of Maharashtra for their overwhelming support.

He also congratulated Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, BJP state president Ravindra Chavan, and workers of the BJP–Shiv Sena alliance for the electoral success.
