Stock Market Crash LIVE: Sensex off lows, down 700 pts; SMIDs, IT, metal stocks recover marginally – Delhi News Daily

Sensex today | Stock Market LIVE Updates today, Friday, February 13, 2026: Indian stock markets extended their decline on Friday, in-line with global markets, as tech rout continued to dampen sentiment.

 


The BSE Sensex index extended the gap-down open, trading at 82,855 levels at 9:35 AM. The index was down 820 points or 0.98 per cent. Likewise, the Nifty50 was at 25,544, falling 263 points or 1.02 per cent. 


27 of the 30 Sensex stocks were trading lower, led by Infisys, TCS, HCL Tech, Tech M, HUL, Trent, M&M, Eternal, Adani Ports, Tata Steel, NTPC, Titan, L&T, Bajaj Finserv, IndiGo, and Power Grid.  Only SBI, Bajaj Finance, and Bharti Airtel managed to hold gains, in the range of 0.01 per cent to 0.48 per cent.  

 


In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index slipped 1.76 per cent, and the Nifty SmallCap index 2 per cent. India VIX — the volatility index — gained 4 per cent.

 


Among sectors, the Nifty IT sank 5 per cent, dragged by Infosys (down 5.6 per cent), TCS, HCL Tech, LTIMindtree, Coforge, and Wipro.

 


That apart, the Nifty Metal index fell 3 per cent, the Nifty Media 1 per cent, and the Nifty FMCG 0.8 per cent. 

Torrent Pharmaceuticals, GMR Airports, Siemens Energy India, Info Edge India, Alkem Laboratories, Fortis Healthcare, Narayana Hrudayalaya, Ipca Laboratories, ITI, NBCC (India), IRB Infrastructure Developers, Tenneco Clean Air India, Eris Lifesciences, Inox Wind, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation, Kfin Technologies, BASF India, Brainbees Solutions, Ola Electric Mobility, Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation, Tilaknagar Industries, Azad Engineering, and Vijaya Diagnostic Centre, among others, will announce their quarterly earnings today.
