Stock Market LIVE: Sensex gains 400 pts, Nifty SmallCap index up 1.5%; SBI lifts PSB Index by 3% – Delhi News Daily

Sensex today | Stock Market LIVE Updates today, Monday, Feb 9, 2026: Indian stock markets were trading higher up on Monday as buying interest in State Bank of India (SBI), contours of the India-US trade deal, along with solid global cues, lifted sentiment. 
 


  On Friday, India and the US released a joint statement, outlining a framework for the Interim Trade Agreement (ITA) following the announcement of the trade deal earlier last week. 


he BSE Sensex index is at 84,003 levels, up 423 points or 0.51 per cent at 10:03 AM, while the Nifty50 was at 25,825, up 131 points or 0.51 per cent.

 


SBI shares rallied 6.1 per cent, followed by Tata Steel, Kotak Bank, Adani Enterprises, HCL Tech, Adani Ports, Jio Financial Services, TCS, Dr Reddy’s Labs, and Hindalco. These shares were the top gainers on the Nifty.  On the downside, Eicher Motors, Nestle India, ICICI Bank, HUL, ITC, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, and Bharti Airtel were the top losers on the Nifty today.

 


In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index gained 0.91 per cent, and the Nifty SmallCap index added 1.49 per cent.   Among sectors, the Nifty PSU Bank index gained pver 3 per cent, while the Nifty Realty added 1.7 per cent, and the Nifty Metal index 0.9 per cent.

Zydus Lifesciences, Linde India, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, KPR Mill, Navin Fluorine International, The Ramco Cements, Pfizer, Neuland Laboratories, Trident, Jain Resource Recycling, Graphite India, Sansera Engineering, Privi Speciality Chemicals, Happy Forgings, Embassy Developments, Jyothy Labs, Lloyds Enterprises, Genus Power Infrastructures, PN Gadgil Jewellers, Sri Lotus Developers & Realty, Gujarat State Feritilisers, and Suprajit Engineering, among others, will announce their quarterly earnings today.
