In a series of now-deleted posts on social media, Grimes expressed frustration over Musk’s alleged lack of response to her messages, calls, and scheduled meetings regarding the urgent situation. Her messages, which quickly gained public attention, emphasised the severity of the issue, stating that the child could suffer “lifelong impairment” if action was not taken immediately. The posts were later removed, with Grimes explaining that they were not eliciting a response from Musk and were instead turning into a media frenzy.
Grimes’ public plea to Elon Musk to respond amid child’s medical crisis
Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, directly addressed Musk in her initial post, stating:
“Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention.”
The post indicated that she had exhausted private channels of communication with Musk and had turned to a public platform as a last resort.
In a follow-up post, she requested Musk to either respond himself or appoint someone to handle the situation, writing:
“If you don’t want to talk to me, can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this? This is urgent, Elon.”
Her public appeal reflected deep frustration over what she described as Musk’s refusal to communicate regarding their child’s medical needs.
Elon Musk’s lack of response and Grimes’ further frustration
As the posts gained traction, Grimes responded to a fan, elaborating on her struggles to get Musk’s attention. She claimed that Musk had ignored all attempts at communication, stating:
“I’m not giving any details, but he won’t respond to texts, calls, or emails and has skipped every meeting. Our child will suffer lifelong impairment if he doesn’t respond ASAP, so I need him to f***ing respond. If I have to apply public pressure, then I guess that’s where we are at.”
Musk, who is active on social media, did not publicly acknowledge or respond to her posts, further fueling speculation about the situation.
Grimes’ deletion of posts and explanation
Shortly after the posts went viral, Grimes deleted them, explaining her decision in another message. According to her, the posts were being shadowbanned, meaning they were not appearing in users’ main feeds. A social media user pointed this out, writing:
“@Grimezsz FYI (you probably already know this) but you are currently being shadowbanned – the only way to view your tweets is via your ‘replies’ tab in your profile.”
In response, Grimes stated:
“I am deleting them now because if they’re being shadowbanned and not eliciting a response, then all it is is a media circus at the expense of the kids.”

Elon Musk and Grimes first began dating in 2018 after he discovered her music through Twitter (now X). Over the years, they had an on-and-off relationship and share three children together:
