Tiktoker Maurice Harrison, known as “Girlalala,” was a 21-year-old TikTok star from Pompano Beach. She had more than 235,000 followers on TikTok and many followers on Instagram. On Friday, around 7 p.m., she was shot and killed in Lauderdale Lakes, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies said they found her in the front seat of a car with gunshot wounds. She was taken to a nearby hospital, but doctors said she had died.Deputies said 25-year-old Shanoyd Whyte Jr. was arrested at the scene. He is now charged with first-degree murder. Officials said the two were in a relationship for many years and got into a loud fight inside Whyte Jr.’s car before the shooting happened. A gun was also found at the scene. Old videos of the two online show signs of a troubled relationship. Fans everywhere are shocked and calling this a very sad loss.

Deputies said Girlalala and Shanoyd Whyte Jr. were inside Whyte Jr.’s car near the 3300 block of Northwest 37th Street in Lauderdale Lakes. The Broward Sheriff’s Office said they began to argue, and the argument soon turned into a physical fight. During this fight, Maurice Harrison was shot while she sat in the front passenger seat. When deputies and fire rescue workers reached the scene, they found her hurt in the seat. They rushed her to a local hospital, but she was later pronounced dead.The Broward Sheriff’s Office said Whyte Jr. stayed at the scene and was taken into custody right away. A firearm was also found in the car. Officials said Whyte Jr. told detectives that he and Maurice Harrison had been in a relationship for several years. After the arrest, he was booked into jail on a first-degree murder charge and appeared before a judge. The judge ordered him to stay in jail with no bond.Social media users began sharing old videos of the pair. One video shows Girlalala with a cut under her eye and on her nose. In the video, she says they “always fight,” which made fans believe the relationship had many problems.
