Trump-Musk thaw: President says he won't dump his Tesla, nor get rid of Starlink at the White House
Trump said he won’t sell his Tesla but he can move it around.

President Donald Trump announced Monday that he would not sell the Tesla that he purchased from Elon Musk at full price in the aftermath of his falling out with the Tesla CEO. The purchase was a token during their good times, a message to encourage Americans to buy Teslas. As soon as Musk and Trump fought, it was reported that Trump would sell or give away the Tesla that he purchased, not for his personal use but for the use of the White House. Trump said he could move it around but won’t sell the car. Trump also confirmed that he would not get rid of Starlink. On Elon Musk, the president maintained restraint and said he wishes him good. On being asked whether he ever saw any physical fight between Elon Musk and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in the White House, Trump denied and said they had an argument but he never saw them physically attacking. He was also asked about the NYT report on Elon Musk’s drugs use to which the president said he would not know about it.Trump and Musk had a public fallout after Musk criticized Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill. Musk called Trump a liar and claimed that without him Trump would not have won the election. Musk went on to claim that Trump is named in Epstein Files and that’s why the administration is not releasing the files. Trump threatened to take action against Musk if he decided to bankroll Democrats, after Musk floated the idea of a new party called the American Party. The heat died down within a day as Elon Musk took a step back and deleted some of the posts, including the one in which he linked Trump with Epstein. Musk also shared the president’s post on the Los Angeles riots.
