Ajman has introduced advanced smart speed limiters in taxis and limousines, making it the first emirate in the UAE to implement such a system. The devices automatically adjust a vehicle’s speed based on its real-time location and local speed limits, aiming to reduce risky driving and improve passenger safety.
How the system works
The smart devices identify the vehicle’s location in real time, compare it with permitted speed limits, and synchronise the speed automatically. Geographic range data is stored with high accuracy, and the system continuously updates to ensure compliance across different zones.sKey features
