The Ministry of Education, working with Dubai’s Community Development Authority and participating schools, has launched the “Future Generations Winter Camp 2025” a national student programme running December 8–25, 2025, across four Dubai sites including Hatta, Al Lisaili, Zayed Educational Complex Al Khawaneej and Al Barsha. The camp blends national-identity learning with future-ready skills such as AI, space and smart farming.

UAE winter camp registration and logistics

The camp runs for over two weeks, accommodating hundreds of students across four designated locations in Dubai. The program is split into two specialized age groups:

  • Ages 6–10: Focuses on exploratory, cultural, artistic, heritage, and sports activities.
  • Ages 11–14: Features specialized programs centered on future-oriented disciplines and innovation workshops to sharpen scientific and leadership thinking.

The camp will run from December 8 to 25. Activities will be held Monday to Thursday, for seven hours daily.

  • First Session (Dec 8–18): Held in Al Lisaili and Hatta.
  • Second Session (Dec 15–25): Held at Zayed Educational Complex (in Al Khawaneej and Al Barsha).

How to Register?

Registration is open for a limited window, from November 1 to 15. Applicants must register through the Ministry’s approved digital platforms and must include their Makani number on the form. The goal is to host over 750 students across the four sites. The programme will run four days per week to match the winter-break calendar. Parents should check the specific site session (first or second) before registering. The Ministry positions the camp as a government-backed, structured alternative to unregulated holiday activities.

Why is the UAE running this camp now?

The Ministry frames the Winter Camp as an investment in youth: strengthening national identity, discovering talents tied to future careers, instilling leadership, and promoting creativity and teamwork. The camp also links to the wider national calendar and education strategy that gives students an extended winter break for enrichment activities. Organisers expect outcomes such as improved problem-solving, higher confidence, and clearer career interests among participants.

What the Camp Offers – Activities, workshops and experiences

The Future Generations Winter Camp 2025 brings a rich mix of interactive learning, fun experiences and personal development, designed for students to enjoy while boosting skills and values. The programme offers:

  • Workshops in cutting-edge fields: Participants will engage in sessions on artificial intelligence programming, robotics, space simulation experiences and smart farming and food-security applications.
  • National identity & culture modules: The camp explores UAE cultural heritage and national symbols to deepen students’ sense of belonging and identity.
  • Leadership & personal development: Activities include leadership thinking, ethical awareness, volunteering and community-engagement projects to build confidence, problem-solving and teamwork.
  • Recreational field trips: Students will visit scientific, heritage and cultural landmarks such as the Museum of the Future, Etihad Museum, and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre to link learning with real-world inspiration.
  • Age-specific tracks: For ages 6–10, the focus is exploratory: cultural, artistic and sports activities. For ages 11–14, the emphasis shifts to innovation workshops and future-oriented disciplines.

A winter break that builds future-ready students

The Future Generations Winter Camp 2025 isn’t just a holiday activity, it is a purposeful national initiative shaping how young learners think, explore and plan for their future. By blending heritage with innovation, the camp ensures children stay connected to the UAE’s cultural identity while gaining hands-on exposure to tomorrow’s skills like AI, robotics and space science. For parents, it offers a safe, structured and enriching alternative to idle vacation time; for students, it promises discovery, confidence and inspiration. This winter, the UAE is turning school break into a springboard for future leaders.
