The UAE Lottery has officially transformed its popular Lucky Day draw, ushering in an era of more frequent wins and refreshed prize money. The major revamp was announced following the final draw for the historic Dh100 million jackpot on Saturday, November 29. While the grand prize has been adjusted, participants now have a chance to win significant cash every single week, dramatically increasing the frequency of excitement.

What changed: UAE lottery new rules

The UAE Lottery announced a major revamp of its flagship Lucky Day draw during a live broadcast on 29 November 2025. The headline move: the game will now run every Saturday (weekly) and the new grand prize is Dh30 million, replacing the previous Dh100-million jackpot format. The operator also increased the second prize from Dh1 million to Dh5 million. The November 29 broadcast was billed as the last chance to win the Dh100m prize under the old format, marking a symbolic close to Lucky Day’s first year of operations. The changes aim to deliver more frequent wins and sustained player engagement rather than a single mega-jackpot.

Weekly fun starts December 6th

The primary draw frequency is increasing, giving participants more chances to win throughout the month. The Lucky Day format has moved from its previous fortnightly (every two weeks) schedule to a weekly draw, which will take place every Saturday. The new format officially kicks off with the first weekly draw on Saturday, December 6th.

  • Ticket Entry: To enter the draw, participants must purchase an entry line which costs AED 50.
  • Guaranteed Raffle Prizes: The draw retains its popular Lucky Chance raffle, which guarantees cash prizes.

However, the number of guaranteed winners of the Dh100,000 prize has been adjusted from seven winners to three winners every week.Hosts Diala Makki and Chadi Khalaf confirmed the changes during the final Dh100 million draw on November 29, promising “more draws, more excitement and more chances to win.”[Also read: Can non-residents and tourists legally take part in UAE based lotteries, draws, and raffles? Closing the Dh100 million chapter

The overhaul officially concludes the era of the UAE’s biggest-ever jackpot. The final Dh100 million draw on Saturday, November 29, was unclaimed, meaning no one matched all seven numbers. This leaves Indian expatriate Anilkumar Bolla as the sole winner of the Dh100 million grand prize. The 29-year-old IT professional from Abu Dhabi, who won the massive sum on October 18, 2025, now holds a record that will not be surpassed under the lottery’s current format. He remains the only person to have claimed the country’s biggest lottery prize during the Dh100 million jackpot period.

Why the Change?

The organizers noted that the transition to a weekly draw and a slightly adjusted prize structure is intended to offer “more draws, more excitement and more chances to win” for participants. This change, announced by hosts Diala Makki and Chadi Khalaf, marks the beginning of the platform’s second year of operations, shifting the focus from an occasional massive jackpot to consistent, high-value prizes every week.
