Sharjah is preparing to host the 56th edition of the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show from September 24 to 28, 2025. Held at the Expo Centre Sharjah, this major international exhibition is expected to bring together over 500 exhibitors from 21 countries, reinforcing its position as one of the most prominent gold and jewellery trade events in the region.
An exhibition with deep roots and global reach
Launched in 1993, the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show has grown from a modest event with only a handful of participants into a landmark exhibition in the global jewellery calendar. Now held twice a year, the show has built a legacy of over 55 successful editions, establishing itself as the flagship event of Expo Centre Sharjah. It draws more than 87,000 visitors each edition, attracting jewellery retailers, wholesalers, watch collectors, fashion buyers, and general shoppers alike.Over the years, the show has also become known for its unique attractions and high-impact experiences. Past editions have featured showstoppers like luxury car giveaways, diamond pendants, and exclusive displays including the world’s largest gold ring. But beyond the glamour, the exhibition has consistently served as a robust commercial platform, supporting trade and showcasing fine craftsmanship across gold, diamonds, pearls, gemstones, and luxury timepieces.
Major participation and new global additions
Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah in collaboration with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the 56th edition will cover 30,000 square metres and host over 1,800 designers, manufacturers, and professionals from across the jewellery and watch sectors. The event will feature strong representation from countries including the UAE, Italy, India, Turkey, the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and Kuwait.This edition marks the first-time participation of brands from countries like Australia, Myanmar, and Pakistan, a development that reflects the event’s growing global footprint. National pavilions will spotlight industry leaders from India, Singapore, and Thailand, while Italy alone will bring more than 50 exhibitors. The diversity of participants ensures that the collections on display will range from traditional gold and diamond jewellery to contemporary designs that align with current fashion trends and global market demand.
Record breaking performance and future outlook
The last edition of the exhibition set a new benchmark for the event, drawing 87,000 visitors from 106 countries and generating total sales worth AED 105 million, equivalent to approximately USD 28.6 million. It also attracted the participation of 1,400 trade professionals from 63 countries, further cementing its role as a preferred destination for buyers, investors, and brands operating in the luxury jewellery space.According to Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, the show’s consistent growth over the years is a reflection of its strategic value to the industry. He emphasized that the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show plays a crucial role in connecting local entrepreneurs with international markets while also serving as a platform for innovation, creativity, and trend forecasting. He added that the 56th edition aims to offer an experience that combines exclusivity with insight, helping stakeholders understand emerging directions in the sector.
Workshops, exhibits, and public engagement
Beyond the commercial exhibits, this year’s show will include an extensive programme of workshops and industry-focused sessions. These will be geared towards sharing global best practices in gold and jewellery manufacturing, offering attendees hands-on knowledge that can help strengthen their business practices and improve their competitive edge. The educational component is aimed at supporting professional growth and fostering leadership within the sector.The exhibition is open to both trade visitors and the general public. It will operate from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Friday. With its unique mix of luxury, innovation, and craftsmanship, the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show remains one of the most anticipated events in the regional calendar — and one that continues to draw attention from around the world.
