Thousands of people gathered in Minneapolis, calling for U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to leave the Twin Cities after a federal agent fatally shot a man during an immigration enforcement action. Cardboard signs called for “Justice for Alex,” referencing Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse who was shot and killed by a Border Patrol agent Saturday morning. Protesters chanted “ICE out of Minnesota.”
