New Delhi: Value fashion retailer V-Mart Retail has reported a net loss of Rs 8.9 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2 FY26), compared to a loss of Rs 56.5 crore in the same period last year, as the company saw improved operating performance and higher revenues driven by festive-led consumer demand, according to its regulatory filing on Monday.

Its revenue from operations during the quarter rose 22 per cent year-on-year to Rs 806.9 crore, up from Rs 660.9 crore in Q2 FY25, though down sequentially from Rs 885.2 crore in the June quarter.

Total income stood at Rs 810.3 crore, compared to Rs 662.7 crore a year earlier.

The company’s total expenses for the quarter stood at Rs 813.9 crore, higher than Rs 710.7 crore in the year-ago period, largely due to increased employee and depreciation costs.

The company reported a pre-tax loss of Rs 13.6 crore, narrowing sharply from a loss of Rs 57.9 crore in the year-ago quarter.

For the six months ended September 2025, V-Mart posted a net profit of Rs 24.7 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 44.4 crore in the corresponding period last year, reflecting improved demand momentum and better cost control.

Revenue for the half year stood at Rs 1,692 crore, up 17 per cent year-on-year from Rs 1,447 crore in the same period of FY25.

V-Mart’s expenses during H1 FY26 were Rs 1,669 crore, compared to Rs 1,502 crore in the same period last year.

In FY25, the company had reported a full-year profit of Rs 45.8 crore on a revenue base of Rs 3,266 crore.
