PM Modi’s ‘Drama Nahi, Delivery’ Message Sets Fiery Tone As Winter Session Begins Amid Tensions

Ahead of the Winter Session of Parliament, PM Narendra Modi issued a direct warning to the Opposition: “No drama, only delivery.” Highlighting India’s growing democratic faith and record voter turnout in Bihar, especially among women, Modi contrasted the people’s trust with the Opposition’s frustration following its electoral defeat. With the NDA securing a massive 202-seat mandate, Modi cautioned his alliance not to become arrogant while urging the Opposition to accept the verdict and work constructively. Meanwhile, Opposition parties are preparing for confrontation, insisting on a full debate on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The government, however, is focused on introducing 10 new bills and holding a major discussion on 150 years of Vande Mataram. With SP’s Ramgopal Yadav warning that the House will not function without a debate on SIR, Modi’s message sets the tone for a stormy and high-stakes Winter Session.
