A disturbing video has surfaced showing two Australian nurses threatening to kill Israeli patients during a video call with Israeli content creator Max Veifer. The footage, which has since gone viral, shows the nurses making chilling remarks, including claims that they had sent Israeli patients to “Jahannam” (hell).
The footage sparked widespread outrage, with political leaders condemning their remarks as “vile” and “sickening.” Now, newly released unedited footage reveals even more shocking statements from the nurses, intensifying calls for stricter action.
In the viral clip, one nurse tells Veifer, “You’re going to be killed.” When asked if it was because he served in the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), she responds, “That’s definitely the answer, correct.”
The second nurse joins in, claiming that the IDF kills innocent Palestinians. “You have no soul,” she says, accusing Veifer and Israeli soldiers of targeting children to “protect their country.” The exchange grows heated as she declares, “It’s Palestine’s country, not your country, you piece of s**t. One day, your time will come, and you’ll die a horrible and disgusting death.”
As the conversation continues, Veifer asks what would happen if an Israeli patient came for treatment at their Australian hospital. One of the nurses replies, “I won’t treat them, I would kill them.” The other nurse adds, “Do you know how many Israelis have come to this hospital and I’ve sent them to Jahannam?” while making a throat-slitting gesture.
When asked if they would provide care to Jewish patients, the nurses abruptly ended the call.
New footage escalates outrage
Following the initial video’s release, new unedited footage has surfaced online, showing even more disturbing remarks. In the extended clip, the nurses reportedly double down on their claims, laughing and making further derogatory statements about Israeli patients. The latest footage has fuelled greater public outrage, with social media users demanding harsher punishments.
The video showed the nurses wearing NSW Health uniforms, prompting immediate investigations by both NSW Health and the police.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called the video “sickening and shameful,” while NSW Health Minister Ryan Park condemned the behaviour as “vile, disgusting, and appalling.” Park confirmed that the nurses, identified as employees of Bankstown Hospital, had been fired.
Though there is no evidence that Israeli patients were harmed, Park assured that a thorough review was underway to ensure no patient safety violations had occurred.
The resurfaced footage has reignited debates over hate speech and professional ethics in healthcare, with growing calls for legal action against the dismissed nurses. X users were quick to react, labelling the nurses as “terrorists,” with many condemning ABC News for not sharing the full unedited clip, calling it “propaganda.”
