Widespread rainfall has been documented across the Kingdom, spanning Jazan, Makkah, Madinah, Aseer, Najran, and Al-Baha. Monitoring reports confirm varying intensities across these regions, with Jazan registering the most significant accumulation, including a peak of 35 mm in a single governorate. A network of 51 hydrological and climate stations captured detailed measurements during the weather event.

Jazan: Highest rainfall concentration

Jazan Region emerged as the most affected by the rainfall, particularly in Sanbah, a part of Abu Arish Governorate, where precipitation levels reached 35 mm, the highest recorded in the country during this period.Other specific measurements from Jazan include:

  • Damad: 24 mm
  • Abu Arish (outside Sanbah): 23.1 mm
  • King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport: 19 mm
  • Al-Rawdah: 17.8 mm
  • Jazan Naval Air Squadron: 16.8 mm

These figures highlight a widespread and intense rainfall pattern within the region.

Al-Baha: Moderate rainfall with local variations

The Al-Baha Region saw moderate levels of rainfall across several locations, with notable differences across individual sites.Key measurements include:

  • Balkhzamar (Al-Mandaq Governorate): 29.6 mm
  • Barahrah (Al-Mandaq Governorate): 12.9 mm
  • Bani Hassan: 10.6 mm
  • Baidan: 10.2 mm
  • King Saud Airport: 9.4 mm

These readings suggest a fairly active weather system in the area, particularly in Al-Mandaq Governorate.

Makkah and Aseer: Scattered downpours

In Makkah, rainfall activity was observed primarily in Al-Lith and Maysan:

  • Jaddam (Al-Lith Governorate): 18.4 mm
  • Abu Rakah (Maysan): 17.2 mm
  • Bani Saad (Maysan): 16 mm

Meanwhile, the Aseer Region recorded rain at several highland and urban locations:

  • Al-Faraah (Al Namas): 14.6 mm
  • Sarat Abidah: 14 mm
  • Abha National Meteorology Center: 4.8 mm
  • King Faisal Road (Al Namas): 3.6 mm

These figures reflect moderate but widespread rainfall across mountainous and urban zones in both regions.

Madinah and Najran: Light rainfall ends the trail

The rainfall pattern tapered off as it reached the southern and western edges of the Kingdom. In Najran:

  • Al-Namsah (Badr Al-Janub): 1 mm

In Madinah:

  • Al-Salhaniyah (Al-Mahd Governorate): 0.7 mm

Though these readings were the lowest among all regions, they still contributed to the national weather snapshot compiled by the Ministry.
