Police arrested a suspect two days later after a public search.Married and father of two, Kirk was the founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative youth organization with chapters at colleges and high schools nationwide. He played a key role in building a pro-Trump youth movement, bringing right-wing speakers to campuses and training conservative activists. His positions aligned with much of Trump’s base: he opposed gay and transgender rights, rejected separation of church and state, backed gun rights, dismissed climate change concerns, and promoted the “great replacement” theory.In her first reaction to Charlie’s assassination, Erika said that she planned to carry on his political work through the organization Turning Point USA.
