But what’s really mesmerizing for fans about Neetu’s life, aside from all the glamour, is much about her private life, including the anecdotes she shared about her early married years with Rishi Kapoor.
Neetu’s education and early marriage
The veteran couple appeared on the first season of ‘Koffee With Karan,’ where Neetu Kapoor spilled the beans on her relationship with her husband initially after marriage. The actress shared that she had studied only until the eighth grade before getting married. She admitted she was quite naive then, while Rishi Kapoor, her husband, often impressed her with his strong vocabulary and love for Scrabble. The actress recalled, “Initially, when I got married, I was very naive. He used say big, big words… He is very good in Scrabble. I had just done 8th grade.”
Rishi Kapoor’s late-night routine
The actress also opened up about Rishi’s habit of spending late nights with his friends. In the early days of her marriage, she often accompanied him to parties, but soon stopped after getting bored with the gatherings. However, Rishi Kapoor continued coming home late, which sometimes made her disappointed.
The famous English class
One such night, Neetu decided to confront him, brimming with anger. But when Rishi walked in, he coolly told her, “Listen, I don’t lead my life in duress.” All her anger disappeared in a flash, replaced by curiosity. She spent the entire night with a dictionary, trying to understand what “duress” meant!
