While the revelation was shocking enough that a cop’s son opened fire at the Florida State University campus with motives not yet known, another shocking revelation came when some Anne-Mari Eriksen took to social media claiming that she is Phoenix’s biological mother. She blamed Jessica Ikner and Phoenix’s father for the incident though she deleted those posts later.
Who is Jessica Ikner, a star cop?
Jessica Ikner is a star cop who was the employee of the mother in March 2024. She is a school resource officer in Leon County. The county sheriff’s office website lists her as a “middle schools deputy”. The Florida Sheriff’s Association also recognized her as Leon County Sheriff’s Office Co-Deputy of the Year in 2011. The incident has not yet affected her job as officials said there is currently no cause to suspend her but the sheriff’s office will do a thorough investigation, they said.
A past Facebook post of Jessica Ikner surfaced after the FSU shooting, where she wrote that parents should be held accountable for their kids’ actions.

Just ahead of the identification of the FSU shooter, Anne-Mari Eriksen was desperate to reach out her estranged family but it was revealed that her biological son was the shooter. ‘Horrible when your alienating son’s dad is as mentally unstable as he is, along with his LCSO cop wife, that they can’t respond when you write to ask if everything is alright with my son, who studies ar [sic] FSU,’ she wrote in a now-deleted post. ‘That whole familly [sic] is nuts. He should write a book on how to parent badly, but he can’t communicate.’
According to a lawsuit that gave an insight into Phoenix’s troubled childhood, during the bitter legal battle between his parents, Eriksen ‘kidnapped’ Phoenix to Norway while she told his father that she was taking him to South Florida. Phoenix was only 11 years old at that time. The incident led to Eriksen’s arrest and she was barred from contacting her son or the family members.
