The Internet believes there is First Lady Melania Trump and then there’s a fake Melania Trump who gets paid to make appearances with the president. Every time there is a public display of affection between Donald Trump and Melania, social media falls back on the ‘fake Melania’ theory as they believe the real Melania Trump is very uncomfortable in the president’s presence. The narrative was back with the president’s visit to the Vatican to attend Pope Francis’s funeral. It coincided with the First Lady’s 55th birthday but social media is convinced that it was fake Melania who went to the Vatican with Trump.
“Holy smokes!! Where is Melania?? No one’s fooled by the body double beside Trump. This one is finally revealed as the fake Melania. Look at those un-sunglassed eyes: overly made up, not Melania’s eyes or cheekbones,” one wrote commenting on a photo of Melania.
Uncomfortable birthday kiss as they return to the US
After attending the funeral, Trump and Melania left straight away and headed back home. They arrived on Air Force One at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, where Melania got into a car and Trump boarded Marine One. But before their ways separated, they shared a hug and an uncomfortable air kiss.
Body language expert Judi James told Irish Star that the kiss looked “instigated and performed” by Melania. “Trump spent his wife’s last birthday in a courtroom so he could have been determined to use this public display of fondness to create something of a contrast this year. The farewell kiss does actually look instigated and performed by Melania though,” James said.
“With no bag to carry to act as a barrier in the space between them Melania chooses to push her left hand into her pocket, making any hand-holding impossible. Trump places a hand onto her back once they hit the tarmac to gently steer her away while he performs his power and victory ritual for the cameras alone, first raising one hand in a ‘hail’ gesture before curling it into a ball to show a raised fist and finally pointing at the cameras in a dominant gesture. He also goes to wave farewell to his wife from a distance as he plods to his helicopter, but he finds her standing waiting in the wind for him like the French Lieutenant’s Woman,” James said adding that the president was caught “off-guard” but was very happy as Melania attempted to instigate a kiss which remained in the air.
But if only she is the original Melania and not the fake one, which the Internet finds hard to believe.
