Hallie Biden was the first to have found a gun in Hunter Biden’s truck in October 2018. Hallie panicked seeing the gun and discarded it immediately because she did not want Hunter to hurt himself or Hallie’s kids. Hallie placed the gun and ammunition inside a leather pouch and then drove to a grocery store and threw it away in a trash can. Police found the gun and traced it back to Hunter Biden where the case began. Hunter bought the gun illegally, suppressing his drug addiction in the form.
Hallie Biden was Hunter’s sister-in-law as long as Beau Biden was alive. Hallie got married to Beau in 2002 and Beau died of brain cancer in 2015. Hallie and Hunter dated each other from 2016 to 2018 and bonded over their mutual grief.
Hallie testified against Hunter Biden and confirmed that he had in his possession, at any given time, cracks available in several sizes. She also said she became an addict after Hunter introduced her to drugs. Hallie was sent to rehab four times because of her addiction and the Bidens paid for it. Hallie testified against Hunter Biden as part of an immunity deal that protected her from prosecution for her own crack use.
It was Hunter’s relationship with Hallie that caused his split with his first wife Kathleen Buhle who wrote in an email that Hunter to only cheated on her but bought expensive gifts for Hallie. In 2018, Hunter also hired Hallie at his consultancy firm Rosemont Seneca.
Though the Biden family supported Hunter and Haille’s relationship, in 2019, barely a week after Joe Biden announced his presidential run, Hallie and Hinter broke up.
In June 2024, Hallie got married to a financial broker from Cincinnati, John Hopkins Anning.
