Luigi Mangione is the 26-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City. He was arrested in Pennsylvania and no charge was pressed against him as interrogation was going on. Mangione was detailed at a McDonald’s in Altoona as a staff recognized him from the photos the NYPD circulated sourcing from surveillance footage. The brazen murder of the health insurance company CEO sparked a massive debate over healthcare companies and also about the killer — as the killer appeared to be acting alone out of a personal grudge.

How Luigi Mangione was caught
Mangione was eating at McDonald’s in Altoona when the authorities arrived receiving a tip-off from the eatery staff who recognized Mangione as the killer from the photos NYPD circulated. The NYPD confirmed that the killer fled NYC and they started searching in Atlanta when the killer was caught in Atloona.
