Joe Rogan, the host of the popular podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience‘, recently shared his thoughts on the media’s ongoing search for a figure on the left who could mirror his success.
During a conversation with a comedian and host, Rogan dismissed the notion, stating that no one on the left could truly replicate his authenticity or appeal.
Rogan is known for his wide-ranging, unfiltered conversations with guests and dismissed the idea that anyone from the left could replicate his success or authenticity.
In a conversation with comedian Kurtis Curry, Rogan discussed how he had been demonized in the past, with mainstream media attempting to discredit him.
“They didn’t want me. That’s the psyop working against them,” Rogan said, referencing how, in earlier years, those in power could easily discredit someone like him, effectively removing them from the mainstream airwaves.
Rogan believes the landscape has shifted: “Now people say that I’m telling the truth. Then they stop listening to CNN, and faith in them crashes. Faith in mainstream media crashes, and faith in podcasts rises.”
When asked if the media might try to elevate someone on the left as a counterpart to him, Rogan responded that attempts were already being made, but he firmly believes such efforts would ultimately fail.
Curry questioned whether the media might try to elevate someone to become the “Joe Rogan of the left.” Rogan quickly responded, “They already are,” but dismissed the idea, asserting it wouldn’t work. “Let them try. It won’t work. They don’t have authenticity,” he continued.
Rogan emphasized the importance of genuineness, saying, “When you listen to someone long enough, you see if they’re real. I don’t lie. A lot of these people are propagandists. They try to make arguments without looking at the other side. I always try to look at the other side. It’s an important quality for a person broadcasting to millions of people and also for a human being.
