Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday returned to late-night TV with a laugh and a funny warning for US President Donald Trump, reports the Daily Beast.The comedian became a grandfather for the first time, joking on Jimmy Kimmel Live! about his new granddaughter and used the moment to poke fun at the US president.Kimmel revealed on his show that his daughter Katie had given birth to a baby girl. “They gave her a very cute name. Her name is Melania. It’s Melania Thee Stallion,” he teased, before clarifying, “The baby’s real name is Patti Joan, in honour of my mother, whose name was also Joan.”But the real jab came when Kimmel played a clip of Trump’s recent interview on Fox News, where Trump spoke about his own new grandchild, Alexander Trump Boulos, his 11th. In the clip, Trump says, “The baby is perfect… I’ll let you know about it in 21 years. But the baby is good.” Kimmel added a fake headline to the clip, implying Trump was instead discussing Patti Joan as he said the line.Kimmel joked, “You are not dating her in 21 years!” The comment got laughs from his audience and quickly made headlines.Kimmel didn’t stop there. He used the rest of his monologue to criticise Trump’s recent actions, including what the president called his “Big Beautiful Bill,” a lengthy phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and his trip to Qatar.When Trump claimed that his visit to Qatar was “the most successful visit anyone has ever made to any place,” Kimmel said, “You know, in the late ’60s, a couple of guys made a pretty successful trip to the moon, but this one was bigger. They didn’t get a free plane out of it.”The late-night host also took aim at first lady Melania Trump, who recently appeared at the White House to back the Take It Down Act, a measure aimed at regulating deepfake AI pornography.Returning to his new granddaughter, Kimmel said, “You know, when you give people a newspaper from the day they were born, this would be her version of that. On this day in 2025, the first lady did battle against deep fake porn.”Meanwhile, Trump’s own family is also growing. His daughter Tiffany Trump and her husband, Michael Boulos, welcomed baby Alexander last week. Tiffany posted a black-and-white photo to Instagram, holding her newborn’s foot with the caption: “Welcome to the world our sweet baby boy, Alexander Trump Boulos. We love you beyond words! Thank you for coming into our lives!”Trump had hinted at the pregnancy during a speech last October, saying, “She’s going to have a baby. So that’s nice.” Tiffany is the daughter of Trump and his second wife, Marla Maples.Trump now has 11 grandchildren from his five children, including Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, Chloe, Arabella, Joseph, Theodore, Luke, Carolina, and now Alexander. His youngest son Barron, 19, is still studying at NYU and hasn’t yet joined the family’s parenting club.
