YouTube couple Rissa G. and Shaquan Roberts, known to millions as Riss & Quan, are finally speaking out after their baby’s name, “Secure,” sparked huge online talk. The YouTubers, who have more than 3.3 million subscribers, told TMZ they were shocked by how many people disliked the name. They said they thought fans would love it and that the name shows “strength” and “security” in their bond as a family.Rissa and Quan explained that they chose the name because it means a lot to them personally. They also said they’re happy more parents today are using creative and meaningful names for their kids. “It’s special to us,” they told TMZ, adding that they wanted a name that reflected how strong and safe they feel together as a couple and as parents.The couple said the online backlash has started to fade, and many people now support their choice. They shared that being confident in their decision makes them feel even closer. Rissa said she hopes new parents will listen to their hearts instead of online opinions.

Riss and Quan’s YouTube journey from college sweethearts to a fairytale wedding

Rissa G. and Shaquan Roberts first met while studying at the University at Albany. Rissa said they clicked right away but took their time before becoming a couple. “We built a strong friendship first,” she told PEOPLE, saying it helped their relationship grow naturally.After years of dating, Quan proposed to Rissa in May 2022 during a surprise night in Dubai. Rissa shared that he blindfolded her, led her to a beautiful setup filled with roses, and asked her to marry him under the city lights. “It felt like a dream,” she said.Their wedding took place on October 23, 2023, at the Park Château Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick, New Jersey. They used it to share their relationship, life updates, and special milestones. Despite the online drama, Rissa and Quan say they are happier than ever. They continue to post videos about parenting, marriage, and everyday life, showing fans how they balance love, family, and fame, always staying true to themselves.
